Hello my name is Gaspar Cruz and I am the owner of Crown Couture. I have been involved in pageants for about 17 years. I got my start in the business as a designer first and then eventually began to do the other aspects connected with pageantry.
I started doing make up due to the mere fact I couldn't find a make up artist who's work I fell in love with. I grew up painting and drawing my whole life and figured it couldn't be that hard to paint on a woman's face. That idea began a long journey for me in the cosmetic field. I worked for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics which is a division of Estee Lauder, for about 6 years as a make up artist, I worked with every major retailer Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Ave and Bloomingdale's. I also worked every major event The Oscar's, The Golden Globes, New York Fashion Week as well as Los Angeles Fashion Week. What I took away from this experience was how important it was to make a connection with the person sitting in your make up chair and that this was the building block on how to build an enterprise!
After years of traveling all over the country and abroad doing what I loved. I realized that I could be doing this with my own brand. This is where the idea took off to begin my own line of cosmetics. When I began my cosmetic line I knew I wanted some key elements......
